Jakarta Provincial Government targets to operate Jakgrosir in Seribu Islands Regency in May 2018.

Distribution chain needs to be added and accelerated in Seribu Islands

Jakarta Vice Governor, Sandiaga Uno said, land preparation for Jakgrosir construction is almost completed. His option is to use land owned by Transportation Dept. or Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Dept.

"We just need to decide it, and construction can be started," he expressed, Monday (1/29).

Sandi Wants Seribu Islands to Be International Ecotourism Area

According to him, construction takes time around three to four months to complete. He predicted Seribu Islands Jakgrosir could be inaugurated in May.

He mentioned, Jakgrosir is needed in Seribu Islands. Not only to create job opportunities, but it also to accelerate staple commodity distribution and prevent price disparity.

"Distribution chain needs to be added and accelerated in Seribu Islands. We need to provide more scheduled transportation service for residents and logistics," he conveyed.

Meanwhile PD. Pasar Jaya Director, Arief Nasrudin mentioned, his side will load the market after its construction is done.

"Hopefully it can be inaugurated in May," he added.
